Livestock Tracking
RFID enables accurate tracking and tracing of animals. For example, large livestock herds such as diary cattle can be monitored in and out of the dairy with each milking point and individual animal paired together to monitor milk production. The transportation of livestock needs to be very carefully monitored. RFID is used to ensure that necessary vaccinations are up to date and no medical issues for individual animals are overlooked in the transportation process.
